I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day & spent it with someone you love!

I have been dying to try out the Cinnamon Chocolate Cookie recipe that
charaxinae posted, and I figured what better day than Valentine's for a chocolate cookie? I had to restrain myself from making them earlier in the week, I knew we were going to see Justin's mom on Thursday and thought I would make them fresh that day and bring some along for her. Naturally, I forgot to grab them before we left!

And oh, they are tasty! I'm not even a big fan of chocolate, especially in cookie or cake form, so everyone should enjoy these. The recipe worked perfectly, Sarada! (I did not add in the mini chocolate chips, I think that would be too rich for me!)

When Justin got home we set off on our 2 hour trip to his parents' house to pick up our new kitty! I thought it was so fitting that the sky was shades of pastel pink and purple.
Justin had been talking of putting it off until next week, since school is out for Winter Break, but said he would make make the drive for Valentine's Day. We are not big fans of buying 'romantic' gifts for each other, & only planned on going out for dinner on Tuesday. I have also spent a lot of time helping him out lately with the campaigning and a science competition, so that count as my gift to him! His mom was going to by herself that night, so it was the perfect day to make the trip.

His mom decked Indi out in a big red bow for my gift, isn't he a handsome fellow! (He will certainly miss his favorite napping spot in that antique crib) We went out for Chinese, ran into some friends of the family, played Animal Crossing (DS) with his mom, stayed for Lost, and drove back late that night.
As we were getting ready to leave I was feeling pretty guilty about pulling Indi away from his house, his owner, and especially from his brother. But he doesn't seem to be phased at all (not nervous like they were when we sat for both cats)! Last night he slept in the crook of my legs for most of the night, purring & purring. Today he has been constantly sleeping in my lap or snuggled by my side.
There was one point, about 5:30 in the morning, when he woke us up crying. He came in & out of the bedroom with sad little meows, and we decided he was feeling homesick and just realized Picasso was not here. But, with the way he is acting to day, now I wonder if he was just bored and wanted us to wake up to pet him. Cats!
