Senior Show Paintings
(A continuation of this post...)

Here are some of the paintings from the art show I had senior year of college (called "80 Days"). The show had paintings of women from around the world, done in black and white with one item of color. There were two sizes of canvases ~ one size had women in more traditional/stereotypical clothing of their country, the other size had women in more modern clothing. (The pictures are the same size here, but it should be easy to figure out)
There were 15 paintings in all, here are 8.

China - my 2nd favorite (kept this one)

New Zealand

Ukraine

Spain

India

France

Burma

USA - my favorite (I swear I'm not biased! kept this one as well)

I did find pictures of women from around the world, and use them for the paintings. The titles of the paintings show which country the girl in the photos was from.

The USA painting was kind of the inspiration for the series. I painted her and another pretty scary looking guy in the same style, both of them had a lot of piercings. I removed one or two of hers before the show. I don't really remember how I moved from the children to this, but I think this painting was in-between.
