Fat Dancing Kitties
This is another drawing I did on Saturday ~ I just got it into the computer and colored it. Orginally I was planning on each cat being a different color, but when I colored them it did not look good. I think they look pretty good white and black on a colored background.

I am thinking about adding some music notes ~ to further show that they are dancing and add a little more to the image. Probably a simple decorative border in black ink with a white around the edges.

Now I can't decide if I like the green or the orange background better ~

I'm not sure if the orange is quite the right shade either...

i love the green and the orange. these would make a beautiful set of notecards!

Like greeting cards? Hmm... I hadn't thought of that! That's a really good idea :)

I like the way that you tied your cards with the matching shrinky-dink... do you include a matching set of evelopes too? That might be what I end up matching the color to.

The color is really tight around the kitties right now, but I was going to expand it to fit a 8x10 print (probably with some music notes above them). I think it would be good for a blank card too (I could add text, but I think people like blank ones better.)

yup, like greeting cards!

my envelopes also have a cherry blossom stamp on them. it is a different stamp, and it's only a small one on the envelope flap. you could package them similarly. when i make other note cards i use buttons. you could use cat buttons :D or make matching shrinky dink ones. blank cards are my preference!

picturing it in my head i like it without music notes. you could even leave it that size so that it has a letterbox/widescreen look. there would be a thick border of the white notecard on the top and bottom.

I think you are right about the music notes. I was just looking for some way to make them look like they were dancing, and cartoon-style wiggle marks didn't look right ;) But hey, they are cute even if someone had no idea what was going on!

I like the cards idea and will probably make some, but it will have to wait a while. I've been cut off from buying crafting supplies for a while after last night! I did just make up the green version as an 8x10 print and should have them up in the shop soon! (I don't have to pay to print those until they get ordered)
